Sri Krishna Leela Vaibhava
Our School Celebrated “Sri Krishna Leela Vaibhava,” a Sri Krishna fancy dress competition, at the school auditorium on Sunday, with the inspiring theme “Krishna in Costume, Devotion in the Heart.”
The competition was organised with the objective of creating awareness among children about Indian culture, spiritual values, and the ideals of Lord Krishna’s life, while nurturing devotion and cultural pride. The children participated enthusiastically in various categories, namely Kanda Krishna, Muddu Krishna, Bala Krishna, Kishora Krishna, Sri Krishna, and Yashodha Krishna. For each category I,II and III prize with cash and trophy was given.
The chief guest of the programme was Kumari Shwetanjali, an alumna of Besant English School and currently working with Canara Bank. Recalling her school days, she appreciated the parents for encouraging their children to participate in such meaningful cultural programmes.
The programme was presided over by Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak ( President of the Women’s National Education Society). Dr. Manel Arjun Nayak ( Assistant Secretary of the Society and Correspondent of Besant English School), Mr. Satish Kumar Bhat (Correspondent of Besant National PU College) Mrs. Lalitha Mallya (Correspondent of Besant Evening College), Mrs. Laveena Albert (Headmistress of Besant English School) and Mr. Saju M.V (Administrator and Programme Coordinator) were present on the occasion.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Padmashree M while Mrs. Soumya delivered the welcome address and Mrs. Shilpa proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was a grand success, reflecting the talent, creativity, enthusiasm, and love for Indian culture among the children.
