Independence Day 2026

The Independence Day Celebration was held at Besant English School with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme was graced by our esteemed Correspondent and Chief Guest, Dr. Manel Arjun Nayak Sir, and our respected Headmistress, Smt. Laveena Albert  The programme was compered by Sanvi. Dhruva delivered the welcome speech and warmly welcomed the dignitaries, teachers and students. Shazna of Class 8 and Vedanshi of Class 2nd delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the importance of Independence Day and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. The celebration continued with a vibrant cultural programme, featuring patriotic dances performed by the students of Classes 8, 9 and 10. Their energetic and graceful performances filled the atmosphere with patriotism and joy. The students showcased their love for the nation through their wonderful performances. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mokshika of Class 9, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, Headmistress, teachers, students and everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. The Independence Day programme was a memorable and meaningful celebration that inspired everyone to value the freedom and responsibilities of being a citizen of India.
